Company Jinks Training Company
Now in its 7th term with over 300 dancers having joined the company through this program, these training sessions are the core of what Company Jinks is. They are designed to create a space that nurtures our values of love, community and connection. We train very hard in many styles, at an advanced level, but we pride ourselves in going beyond this - using our time together to connect and develop who we are as artists and humans - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. We are an inclusive company that celebrates individuality, welcoming people from all walks of life.
The training program runs for a term usually between 4-8 weeks, training weekly or bi-weekly - with a few months off in between. It is aimed at dancers aged 18+ at intermediate/advanced level. Most members are working professional dancers in the industry but we also accept students in training and dancers that simply dance for fun. Yes, the dancers are talented, but this isn't the priority when choosing company members - we love having a vast range of life experience in the family so we can learn from each other beyond the 5678. Currently, our program is only running in London - although previously and at some point soon we also house our family in Manchester. The sessions are 4 hours long and we have 4 different London training groups - making sure there's a time that suits everybody whilst also keeping the amount of family in the room at a good number for connection and space. Applications are done online and only open around once per year.
