Ricky Jinks is a British choreographer, dancer and teacher known for his thought-provoking and emotionally authentic creativity.
Ricky Jinks (he/him) is a British dancer, choreographer, teacher and founder of international dance community Company Jinks. He grew up in a small town in the North-West of England. Growing up, Ricky found solace and escapism through dance, it was his life jacket. He now aims to positively impact the world through his movement, using his dance methods to be of service to this beautiful Earth and inspiring everyone that he works with to lead with love and abundance. Ricky is known for his thought-provoking and emotionally authentic creativity and stands out due to his versatility in styles and genres, being able to create for a huge range of clients and their creative desires. As a dancer he has performed all over the world and on various platforms including Wembley Arena, The X Factor, BBC, ITV and The Voice for artists such as Kylie Minogue and Olly Murs. Committed to seeking authenticity within the industry, he is grateful to share the beauty of dance with many people - healing each other and the world one step at a time.

Ricky is known for his versatility within his choreographic work, being able to create material from live theatre and immersive shows to music videos, television performances and fashion. Prioritising the love that is in the project and the magic of the process, Ricky is adaptable to all sectors of the industry. As well as choreography, Ricky works with music artists who require movement direction to feel more comfortable and authentic on stage and set. He has choreographed and/or directed movement for music artists such as Matthew Morrison, Pixie Lott, Digital Farm Animals, Dan James, Lois Rae Smith, Iain Woods and Denis Coleman. He has choreographed for many companies including Adidas, Stella McCartney, UEFA Champions League Final, Kiss FM and Adlib Moda Fashion Show Ibiza as well as choreographing for Strictly Come Dancing professional's Oti Mabuse and AJ Pritchard (UK tours). He choreographed Iain Woods' 'Populism' show at Tate Britain as part of Tate Late's (Mark Leckey's exhibition). Ricky creates short pieces and full-length shows on dance companies and academies including Addict Dance Academy, Wilkes Academy and London Studio Centre. Ricky won Group Choreographer of the Year at the 2019 UK Dance Awards for his work on BBC's 'The Greatest Dancer' as well as being a finalist at the 2018 Capezio Ace Awards in New York where his piece was also invited to perform at Brian Friedman's convention The Main Event. Ricky is a highly sought-after teacher on the international dance-circuit. He has been teaching all over the globe for a decade and believes that teaching dance is one of the most fulfilling parts of his career. More than just teaching steps, Ricky feels grateful in sharing this art form with different cultures and allowing students to discover their ultimate potential. In the UK, Ricky teaches regular open classes in London for professional dancers and is a faculty member at some of the most prestigious vocational dance colleges. Some countries Ricky has delivered workshops in include Australia, Dubai, Iceland, Germany, Israel, Canada, China, Italy and Poland, teaching at many world-renowned dance camps including TD Italy, Movemeant Journey and HDI Dance Camp. He is a regular teacher at one of Denmark's leading schools Copenhagen Dance Space and his connections with dance camps, conventions and institutions across the world grow each year.
